Outreach in Benue State supported by The Elevation Church

Hello Gorgeous,

Today's post is about an outreach that took place 2weeks ago in my mothers home town, I do believe that God doesn't make errors or mistakes, We were born into the Idoma tribe for a time like this, God led my mom and she obeyed 🙌🏽  with total support from  The Elevation Church Nigeria we went to drop off relief materials at the Agatu Internally displaced persons at Ugbokpo in Benue State. My mom made sure we (mom's brothers and sisters) distributed the relief materials physically to them because we heard how people had donated to the officials but somehow these officials either gave them little to none, some even sold them to other people, I don't know how heartless people can be.
You could see hopelessness & Hunger written all over the IDP faces. while distributing all we came with, they were so excited , I honestly felt Someone there had said a short prayer to God saying "Please Help Us"
And God who's ever present answered his or her prayers by sending us.
We had to spend more than we budgeted for because the number of people who were displaced were so much more than we had been told.
We left there with nothing but our transportation money back to Lagos with fulfilled hearts.
My mom had even gone to ease herself at the back of one of the class room blocks and on her way back she saw a snake in one of the class rooms the IDP's were sleeping in, They slept on floors(some had mats) in the primary school building allocated to them, a lot of kids had measles and skin irritations, they all look malnourished, I had to literally pray against crying there because I saw so much pain, a new born baby with sours all over his body, these people weren't even told they had free medicals, so I asked the mother why she didn't take her child to the clinic and she looked dumbfounded "like where I go get the money?" Till we told her it was free and she ran to put on her clothes to take the baby to the free medical clinic.
The camp looked totally disorganized, they just provided a place for them to sleep and abandoned them there.
This has taught me again to be grateful no matter where or what situation I find myself in, people are going through worse situations than mine.
I also hear that there are more IDP camps in Ojanntelle after Ugbokpo but apparently the only one the media & others  know is the IDP camp in Makurdi but I took videos and pictures which are attached below.

When you realize that this life is not all about you then you will find the true peace that surpasses all understanding. If only we could all live self less life's, our world would be in a better state.
People are hungry, thirsty, hopeless, bitter, angry, worried, confused and everything that doesn't signify God's Love but it takes the trust in God's Word to awaken what was never or couldn't be.

Thanks for reading and I encourage you to do or say something that will put a smile and restore hope to someone else today and always 😄.
