Make-up Care!!!!

Hey Gorgeous,

Lets Talk about Make-up care today :D

We all need make-up care at every point in our lives to improve our natural beauty and protect  the facial health, Sometimes we are confused about which products work best for our skin and which we should stay far away from, well below are things you need to know.

  • Use clean hands/tools to apply your makeup, keep your makeup bag or storage clean, wipe of spills or drips from your makeup bottle. (those who use the Mary-Kay/liquid foundations in tubes and bottles clean residues that can contaminate your makeup products.

  • Cosmetic products have expiry date, some last for 6months (mascara) and some a year or two. e.g the amount of air that goes into the container each day you apply makeup can lead to the gradual buildup of bacteria that can cause facial irritation/blemishes. make sure you label makeup products with the date of purchase in pen to help you keep track of when to dispose them.

  • Do not sleep with your makeup/cosmetics on your face, which can lead to irritations and blemishes, funny thing is that the amount of time you use to apply makeup should be the same you use in taking it OFF. cleanse/wash, tone often and moisturise daily to keep your face supple and hydrated, which will aid the next day's application :)

  • All makeup products should be secured to preserve their contents, don't leave your compact or pressed powders/bronzers/blushes opened. lipstick's, eye pencils, lip liners and eyeliners uncovered. keep them safe and tighten to avoid dirt's entering your facial pores.

  • Do not share your makeup products with others, like your eyeliners, lipsticks, powder sponge etc. sharing makeup products can increase the risk for contamination and add to bacterial upsurge.

  • If you do not take good care of your makeup tools, they perform less and cause blemishes/irritation on your face, after using a sponge like this below , please throw them away and use a clean sponge for the next makeup application.

  • Know your skin type so you don't use the wrong cosmetic products
          Normal Skin type
          Dry Skin type
          Oily Skin type
          Combination Skin type
          Sensitive Skin type

i would talk about these different skin types and care in a new post soon.
