REVIEW; NYX 5 Color Shadow The Caribbean Collection ( I dream of St Lucia)

Hello Gorgeous,

I got the Nyx 5 color shadow The Caribbean collection in I dream of st. Lucia Last year and I wasn't eager to try them, i felt like they weren't going to be all that until i tried the on today and i must say DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE AFFORDABLE PRODUCTS.

What NYX say about TCC; NYX's signature eyeshadows in a 5 color combo palette that offers high pigmentation and lasting wear. Like a sunset blazing over a tropical beach, these collections each of five best-selling NYX eye shadow colors are undeniably dreamy. Each of the 10 different eye shadow palettes is inspired by an island getaway. Expect rich pigments, lasting payoff and jet-set glamour.

What Lisa has to say about Nyx TCC;   They are so vibrant and gorgeous! I love bright and bold colors. The palette comes in a slick glossy black case which looks exactly the same as the packaging shown below.

I love the touch of a palm tree in the picture to represent the Caribbean theme.  Also note there is an expiration to the palette which is 12M (months) as noted by the jar symbol. i got them in November Last year which means i would stop using it by November 2013.  This is standard on all cosmetics packaging if you ever want to know the life cycle of a product. These are not exactly matte but maybe more satin finish.

The compact itself contains a small, but long, mirror and two double-ended sponge applicators. My rule of thumb is that sponge applicators aren'

t my thing, and as long as you have few good brushes, you should be good to go no matter what. I threw these away.

Best Way to apply the colors; Pat them onto the eyelid instead of sweeping to maintain the vibrancy.  I find that sweeping tends to soften and lighten these colors on the lid.

What Lisa dislikes about NYX TCC; My only problem with these shadows is that they are often too light. The pink and purple colors in particular don't show up very well on my skin, despite being highly pigmented. I fixed this problem by applying a primer to my eyelids (I use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, but you can get any sort of primer you wish as there are lots of brands available.
The packaging is a bit cheap, if it falls off your hand the eyeshadow will shatter

Lastly, this palette was a great buy and I would like to try any of the other palettes in the Caribbean Collection range.

Ingredients: Mica, Talc, Zinc Stearate, Mineral Oil, 2-Ethylhexyl Palmitate, TridecylTrimellitate, BHT, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Heres how they Look on yours truly ;)

Have you tried this eyeshadow or do you own some?

Bless the Lord oh my soul.....................

  1. Hey love your blog so much. I love the burnt orange colour on dark skin, it looks so amazing. What concealer did you use in the last picture. It's so nice.
