Brown Smokey Look

Hey Gorgeous,

It's the end of October 2015 & I'm grateful to be alive with Good health and a Joyful spirit. I just quickly want to share a look I created today that's got me feeling so excited because it's my first time creating a brown smokey eye 😍 and I love/loved the look.
I got to the studio as usual preparing for a busy day, then a pretty and joyful lady walks into the studio for makeup & Gele service, check out the look below.

Here's how I achieved the look;

Moisturized  her face with Clinique moisturizer, Benefits pore perfecting fave primer, Mac Matchmaster Foundation In 8 mixed with Nars Luminous foundation in New Guinea, filled in her brows with La girl eyeliner pencil in Espresso. For her eyes I used ABH shadow countour palette in Fudge and the Colour above for her crease area then Hegai and Esther Brow definer on her eyelid for a brown base, applied taos cosmetics Savannah eyeshadow over that.
Applied Stardel WSP lashes with duo glue, lined her eyes with Inglot 77 gel liner
La girl concealer in fawn to highlight
Zaron cosmetics uno eyeshadow in Mocha to lowlight
Sacha butter cup powder to set the highlight Colour
Applied la femme lightest pink blush
For her Lips I decided to play with 3 different nude lipsticks ( MAC Velvet Teddy & Taupe then Colourpop ultra matte lipstick in Trap)
I also discovered a new trick with applying highlighters or bronzer on the lip for a different shimmery lip look for their that doesn't like very matte lipsticks ( this will work perfectly).
So I applied Ruby Kisses Bronzer 2 on her lips and cheek bone.
The last step in this flawless process was to spray the Nyx Matte finish spray & Urban decay chill setting spray, Tied her Gele and Viola.

I hope you enjoyed the makeup narration
Let me know if this works better or should I just  list the products like I do in my previous posts?
What do you think about this look?
Special thanks to Lolade for trusting us to glam her up for her cousins wedding.

A Green Tale

Hey Gorgeous,

While most of you are asleep, I'm here creating my first post in the month of October 2015. I don't wear makeup everyday just because of the Lagos sun, argh sunscreen wouldn't even help, I then start to get really pissed off by just anything because the heat wouldn't cooperate with my makeup and when I get home while taking my makeup off, I see fresh popped up pimples 😪🙄. Anyways enough of my early morning ranting, I created this look yesterday  when my friend Jane (of MUD) visited me at the YangaBeautyStudio, I didn't know what eyeshadow to put on and she chose a shimmery green Colour from the Urban Decay Electric Palette which I detested because I somehow don't like so much colors on my eyelids (I can wear any Colour on my lips "trustme" just not my eyes) it took a lot of convincing before I succumbed, I'm glad I did.

didn't even use so much but I applied a darker shade of green on my lower lid 😂.

Review on the new Zaron Cosmetics Matte Lipstick 06 Butter Scotch

Hello Gorgeous,

I was super excited when Zaron Cosmetics sent their new collection of matte Lipstains and Lipsticks, i dedicated my whole friday testing and trying them on to show you how they look on my lips and swatched on my hand. I decided to create separate posts for each lipstick and lipstain so check others out after this post.

The matte Lipstick comes in a sleek smooth black container which is separated from the actual lipstick tube and you have to scroll the bottom base to apply the desired shade.

1) Zaron Matte Lipstick 06 ButterScotch; Its such an amazing shade of nude with a nice consistency which is also MATTE, you would have to apply a balm or exfoliate your lips so it glides on smoothly without wahala. yall know i love nude lipsticks, so this has to be a GOODBUY!!!!
I also like that it's not heavy on my lips like other matte lipsticks, I applied mine without a lipstick applicator and it looks good on me without the cracky look.
Although I didn't put it on for so long because I had to wear other shades I got so I'm not sure about its longevity.

Check more pictures below;

The New Zaron Cosmetics Matte Lipsticks are available in 14 shades and are sold for N2,500 each, which is so affordable compared to other international brands, I can't wait to stop by their head office which is located at No 2 Kanike Close off Awolowo road Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Thank you,

Jen.

Review; House of Tara Margaret Ekpo Palete

Hello Gorgeous,

I purchased the House of Tara Margaret Ekpo Palette from Yanga Beauty and i couldn't wait to try the shades as i had already heard so much about the pigments and how its the matte version of Urban Decay Electric Palette.

Product Package; The palette comes in a black study case like the Sleek Makeup eyeshadow case, it had two shadow applicator, a mirror and 12 matte colorful shades.

What Lisa Thinks; I love the shades, they are easy to apply and not chalky but you will need to use a good eye shadow base for the colours to show more and blend easily, i personally can not do without an eyeshadow primer/base, its like "guguru without epa"x_x. There are 12 beautiful colours in the palette and you can sit down an easily think of colours to mix and play with. The only problem i have with this palette is that the shadows do not have individual names so i had to number the shades i used in creating this look below;

Own it; Yanga Beauty or House of Tara Studio.

The LOOK;

Applied Mac paint-pot in bamboo all over my lid as my eyeshadow base,
Shade 1& 6 was applied on my eyelids only.
Shade 2, 3,4 and 5 were applied on my crease area in that order
Shade 5 was used to create the outer darker shade
Shade 1 & the light green shadow were used on my lower Lash lid

PRODUCT LIST

Face;
Mac Match Master Foundation in 8.5
Black Up Powder in TW03
La girl concealer in Toast
Mac Raisin Blush
Sleek Contour Kit in Medium
Milk of Magnesia (Primer)
Laura Mercier Translucent powder

Eyes;
House of Tara Margaret Ekpo Palette
Mac Paint pot in Bamboo
Mud Cake eyeliner in black
Tara Brow pencil in Brown
Mud Gy2 Cream for Highlighting and Defining my brows
Too Faced Better than false Lashes
