Happy new month my darlings, we are almost close to 2014. I hope this month brings you closer to accomplishing your 2013 goals, sound health, Joy, Peace, Love, and most of all a wonderful relationship with God and your Families.
So back to beauty, I ordered Riri Mac Fall eyeshadow in Her smoked cocoa and I was excited to get her!
What Mac has to say; An Eye Shadow Quad in four cool shades: shimmering champagne, black with silver pearl, satin charcoal and matte grey. The highly pigmented powder formula applies evenly, blends and builds beautifully. Limited-edition RiRi ♥ M∙A∙C packaging.
What Lisa has to say; The packaging was beautiful and I love the colors used (Champange Gold an Pink writings). It has four permanent eyeshades but with no specifi names tagged to each of them in the quad, so I named them 1,2,3,4 for clarity sake and to explain how I applied the shades on my lid and crease!
See pictures below,
Her Smoked Cocoa 1 = this is described as a “dirty cool champagne [with a Veluxe Pearl finish].” It is a cool-toned, off white with a frosted finish. It had fairly good color payoff after applying 3-4 times and it applied smoothly and evenly. It lasted well for the hours I had it on to take Pictures and show you guys.
Her Smoked Cocoa 2 = This is described as a “muted mid-tone grey [with a Matte2 finish].” It’s a neutral-cool taupe with a matte finish. It has a soft, finely-milled texture and It applied easily and blended out well Like Her smoked Cocoa 1 it wore well without showing signs of fading
Her Smoked Cocoa 3 = This is described as a “black with silver pearl [with a Lustre finish].” It is a darkened matte black base with fine silver sparkle and shimmer, It wasn't easy to apply & blend out on my crease I had to apply and apply, blend and blend and blend!!!! 😏
Her Smoked Cocoa 4 = This is described as a “dirty black charcoal [with a Satin finish].” It is a bluish black, and it is still quite a dark shade. In the pan it looked really deep and intense but this did not translate in application as the pigmentation wasn't all that after all and The texture is dry. I was a bit disappointed because I expected it to be intense. Like Her smoked Cocoa 3 I had to apply, apply and blend blend till I got tired and used the dark black eyeshadow in Urban decay Naked 2 Palette.
Over all my best out of the quad is Her Smoked Cocoa 1 and 2.
How I applied this eyeshadow Quad; started off using my Urban decay eyeshadow Primer in original then I used #Her Smoked Cocoa 1 on my entire Lid followed by #Her Smoked Cocoa 2 on my crease and blended it followed by #Her smoked cocoa 3 on my crease again and blended it till I was satisfied, I used #Her Smoked Cocoa 4 at the Outer and Inner upper Corners of my eye-shape, I finally used the dark black shade in urban decay Naked 2 palette to enhance the look. Lastly I applied #Her smoked Cocoa 1 at the center of my eyelid to add a SPOTLIGHT look to the ensemble!
Applied my Eyeliner and Eyelashes, Foundation, Concealer, Powder, Blush and Lip pencil (Ultimate lip pencil in Narcissist and Mac cyber and Lastly I put on my Wig 😉😁. Contact me if you need on for your Christmas hair so you can do some Yanga for Christmas!!
