Makeup brushes are like magic wands to a makeup artist, They are Tools we can't do without, this post is about types of makeup brushes and how to use them!
1) Flat definer Brush; This is a firmly bristled, flat shaped brush that lines & defines the eye brows and eye with color
This is mostly used to define the brows with concealer or foundation!!
Examples are: Mud 410 brush, Bdelium Flat definer brush etc...
2) Large/Small Fan brush; These brush is a Multi-purpose brush as it can be used to pack loose powder products, sweep off excess eyeshadow under the eye, apply blush on the cheek, bronzer
, highlight the face and contour the cheek and sides of the nose!! *wheew* salute this brush right here!! Examples are: Sedona Lace fan brush, Coastal Scents fan brush, Bh cosmetics fan brush etc...
3) Tulip Contour brush; This brush is a very special brush as it fits perfectly into the hollow of the cheeks for blush and bronzer application, highlight on top the cheek bones. The tulip shape makes this brush different from others! Example: Sedona lace brush
4) Dome Contour Brush ; This brush is used to properly contour powder into the cheek temples, cheek bones, and jawline
It can also be used to apply blush on the cheek, evenly apply and blend liquid and cream foundation! Example: Sedona Lace FB05.
5) Flat top Buffer; This is used to apply and blend foundation (liquid and cream) and powder, ensuring maximum coverage. This brush can be used to get a contoured edge on the cheek bone.
6) Blending Brush; this brush is used to blend out harsh line after eyeshadow and concealer application, the shape of this brush makes it suitable for contouring the nose Examples; Sedona lace Eb13, Mud Blending brush, Mac Blending brush. Etc.
7) Flat synthetic brush; This brush is perfect for applying concealer under the eyes and eyeshadow on the Lid.
8) Brow spoolie Duo; This duo is ideal for applying brow color while the spoolie is used to blend out harsh lines and Create a natural looking color. The angles brush can also be used to apply gel liner on the eyelid..
9) Bent Liner; This liner has a bent tip which makes it easy to apply gel and liquid liner without obstructing your view, the tip of this brush is dense and pointed to create a clean line on the lid.
10) Eyeshadow Shader; This brush is used to apply eyeshadow on the eyelid, tear ducts and highlighting color to the lash line.
12) Pointed Crease Brush; This brush has a perfect point to create a crease cut or apply eyeshadow on the crease and help blend easily!
13) Foundation Brush: This brush is used to apply cream foundation or concealer on the face
14) Capped Lip Brush; The brush has a removable cap which helps keep the brush clean when not in use. This brush is also easy to handle.
15) Powder Brush; This brush is used to apply powder and set powder on the face after foundation application!
